#3 28 Weeks

28 weeks! I can’t believe it! This is the 3rd and final trimester of my life. This pregnancy has been the most emotional one for me. Having a third baby is nothing like the first (or even the second). Your first everyone gets you everything. People are constantly asking how you are doing and they are so excited no matter what the sex of the baby is. When you have your 3rd you hear completely different things. “Another boy, oh good luck!” “When are you getting fixed?” “Oh you have two boys, so you have everything you need.” “I am sorry it wasn’t a girl.” “A 3rd child, what were you thinking?!?” And my favorite: “You are done, right?!?” Yes we have heard it all. I feel bad for number 3. I feel like he is already just “that 3rd child”. But to me he is just as important and loved just as much as number one and number two. Also another emotional aspect to all this, is knowing that this is my last child. Don’t get me wrong, I am wayyyy okay with no more delivers or late nights, but I will miss other parts. The moving of my baby in my belly is what I will miss most of all. That amazing feeling when you see your little one for the 1st time. These are all things I will miss, and again this is another hard pill to swallow knowing this part of my life is over. And finally, I didn’t pass my 1st glucose test again. AHHHHH!!! I worked so hard this time to limit my weight gain and eat healthy. And I still didn’t pass. My doctor told me it is out of my control and it is a hormone thing, but its still frustrating. So now I take the 3-hour test next week to see if I have full on gestational diabetes. Ugh, lets pray I pass this one. Enough emotional stuff lets move on to the good stuff. I am feeling great, just super tired by the end of the day. No more nausea or headaches at this time. I have had some Braxton Hicks here and there, but nothing to serious. The boys are getting excited for #3 to come in July. Sawyer totally understands what is going to happen and is so excited to have another brother. Slater lifts my shirt up and points to my stomach and says “Mommy Baby”, so I think he understands a little bit. Thank goodness these two have each other, it has been so fun to watch them really bond these past few months. We are all settled into our new house and have almost all the projects complete. #3’s room is ready and we bought the 3-kid-mobile last night. We also got him a brand new car seat because our infant seat was expired. LOL that was not something we had planned to spend money on!!! We have just a few things for #3 still to get but otherwise we are all ready. I have an ultrasound and more sugar testing next week, so look for the ultrasound pictures then. Until next time….
